WEST OF GALWAY WINS BATTLE OF THE BANDS TWO Florida's Premier Irish Party Bands Beats 50 Other bands in an International Competition   West of Galway, one of the five finalists in Ireland's Battle of the Bands II sponsored by Strangford Lough Brewing Company, won the competition by the narrowest of margins. Over fifty bands from around the world competed in this on-line event.The final count revealed less than 200 votes between ‘West of Galway’ and the ‘Kreellers’, a Celtic rock band from Detroit. Over 13,000 votes were counted in the final round.  It was a great experience and a lot of fun for the band.  The band members would like to extend their sincere appreciation to everyone that supported us during this event. The response from voters was overwhelming, and the words of support most encouraging. Congratulations to the four other finalist bands are in order. They proved to be equally worthy of winning the competition.
